LaMarcus Yates, M.S.

LaMarcus Yates, M.S., earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin and his Master’s degree from The University of Memphis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  LaMarcus’ experience includes individual, family and group work with many different populations including males and females incarcerated for crimes related to substance abuse. He has worked with the LGBTQ community and families involving adolescents who have been sexually and/or physically abused.  He received has received training at Parkwood Behavioral Health hospital, where he worked with adolescents and adults in an acute inpatient setting.  He has also trained in the Trauma Resolution unit at Lakeside Behavioral Health.  He is also trained and experienced in providing TF-CBT (Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to children and adolescents impacted by trauma and working with their primary caregivers and parents. 

LaMarcus utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and family of origin work to help clients achieve their goals.
