Irfan Ali

Irfan Ali, M.D. is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist, received his medical training in 1989 from the Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan, followed by a surgery residency.  He then served as a Medical Officer in hospital settings until 1994, at which time he was accepted at the University of Tennessee Psychiatry Residency Program.  He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Tennessee in 1998, and went on to finish a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry there in 2000.  He then worked at a community mental health center in Jackson, TN, where he treated adults, adolescents and geriatrics on an in and outpatient basis, including Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs.  He also served as the Medical Director for an Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.  He left the mental health center in 2008 to establish his private practice.

James Rogers

James Rogers, MS received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Christian Brothers University in 2017 with minors in Cognitive Neuroscience and Anthropology, and his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis in 2023.

James has experience working with skills groups and individuals utilizing DBT, CBT, IPT, and Reality Therapy with adolescents and adults to treat depression, anxiety, and addictions.

He understands when people feel that their lives are out of control, and is ready to help explore ways to problem solve and cope effectively. Taking a wholistic approach to clients’ problems, he aims to understand where they are in life so that they can create an effective “roadmap” for navigating life’s challenges. His goal is to create a safe “workshop time” for clients to process how their lives and relationships are affecting them, and create plan of action.

James is currently under the direct supervision of an approved supervisor at Mid-South Professional Counseling and with the state of Tennessee as he work toward his LPC-MHSP license with the state of Tennessee.

Roneferiti Fowler

Dr. Roneferiti Fowler is a native Memphian and licensed psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Memphis is 2012. She completed her internship at The Ohio State University Counseling Center. She provided individual, group, and family therapy and performed assessments and testing at West Cancer Center and several Memphis area community agencies and mental health centers. She has worked in the area of oncology and Hematology assisting with life transitions, managing medical diagnosis and treatment with a special interest providing a positive approach to therapy and working with identifying and building strengths while utilizing a collaborative approach to therapy. Much of her work has entailed helping patients and oftentimes their families to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress management, reaction to diagnosis and to address issues related to grief and loss. She has a special interest in working with those impacted by cancer and assisting in making transitions throughout all stages of treatment.

Additionally, she has an extensive background in working with both children and adults, the collegiate population, victims of domestic violence, and worked in several local community agency organizations providing individual, group therapy. She has a special interest in reducing the stigma of therapy in ethnic minority populations and working with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds and all facets of diversity. She enjoys traveling, creating and utilizing arts and crafts as a means of self-expression.
