Heather Resendez, LMSW
Heather Resendez, LMSW, is the Site Leader for our Brentwood office. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama in 2009. She also received her master’s degree in Social Work in 2011 from the University of Alabama. Heather has experience working with a wide range of populations, including substance abuse, mental health, and survivors of domestic violence. Her primary experience has been with the adult population, but she has worked with teenagers as a part of a school-based at-risk program. Her experience includes conducting group therapy, individual therapy, and family/couples therapy for a wide range of issues, including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, suicidality, and various types of trauma. She is versed in working with LGBTQ+ populations and survivors of sexual/physical assault. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing approaches in her clinical work to help her clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
