Brenita Seay, LPC
Brenita strives to provide a place of non-judgemental peace, security and excitement for growth and change in sessions with all clients. Brenita enjoys working with underserved communities, adolescents, individuals and families indicated through her experience in community and residential mental health. No topic is taboo as Brenita is open to addressing issues with trauma, grief, communication, family issues, social and life skills. Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and experienced in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brenita is able to empower clients as they do the work to improve themselves and their daily interactions with others. Brenita earned her Bachelors in Psychology, minoring in African-American Studies and Sociology from Mary Baldwin College (now Mary Baldwin University) in Virginia and followed-up with her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Tennessee State University.
Brenita currently offers telehealth sessions. She will offer both in-person and telehealth starting June 1st of 2021.
Some of the things Brenita enjoys in her spare time include traveling, spending time with family, music, cooking and running an online plus size fashion boutique with two of her friends.
In her spare time Heather enjoys spending quality time with her three daughters, family, and friends. She enjoys traveling (especially to beach locations around the world), cooking, photography, hiking, walking/exercising, being outdoors, attending many local music and family-friendly events and festivals, movies, golf, bowling, and anything fun!
