Medication Management
Mid-South Professional Counseling – Medication Management Services
Mid-South Professional Counseling (MPC) offers medication management in all of our levels of care. We are a free-standing, private practice setting offering telehealth and in-person care options. We provide psychiatric medication management for children, teens, and adults. If you are in need of psychiatric services, call our office today. We are invested in providing evidence-based treatment protocols. Additionally, research studies have indicated for many years that the quality of the relationship with your mental healthcare provider is a critical predictor of a positive outcome.
Feeling comfortable with and heard by your medical provider is a key component in one’s ability to speak candidly and openly about how medications are affecting you and to ask for additional solutions if you need adjustments and/or additional education about your treatment. Our medical team encourages ongoing feedback from you about the quality of the relationship in addition to your treatment protocol. We pride ourselves in welcoming persons of all backgrounds, lifestyles, and belief systems. We believe in keeping your sessions focused on your needs and goals. We consider ourselves allies of the LGBTQAI+ community (some of our providers are also members of the community). We embrace cultural, religious, and non-religious diversity.
We understand it is difficult to take the first step in scheduling an appointment, and we appreciate your courage in taking that step with us. For adults who are in need of a higher level of care, the medical team at MPC can assist you in getting an appointment for a thorough, level-of-care assessment with the Intensive Outpatient team of Mental Health Resources. Now Offering GeneSight Testing

The results of the test can show which medications may require dose adjustments, may be less likely to work, or may have an increased risk of side effects based on your genetic makeup. You can find more information about the GeneSight test at www.genesight.com/product.
GeneSight Psychotropic Clinical Studies
There are seven published peer-reviewed studies showing the clinical validity, clinical utility and economic utility of the GeneSight Psychotropic test. In the GUIDED study, patients in the GeneSight arm saw a 50% relative improvement in remission rates versus treatment as usual. You can can learn more about the clinical evidence supporting the use of the GeneSight Psychotropic test at www.genesight.com/clinical-studies.
